Vlog – Goals and Social Media

Good afternoon everyone!

Thank you for joining me today!

This is Brittany Barry and I’m going to be talking with you guys about the goals that I have recently created for myself, and I hope that it inspires you as well.

From those goals I will follow, hopefully, my social media strategy. I hope it is sort of an example template that will also help you guys, and inspire you with how to approach social media, and getting yourself out there.

Starting off – goals. Why am I doing all of this?

The main goal is: to love God and love people.

I really care about you guys and I want you all to thrive.

How do I do these things?

My three goals:

  1. Write and illustrate stories that help build character and inspire.
  2. Bring joy to your lives through fun and colorful artwork.
  3. Bring art education to you guys in a much more accessible and affordable way. I’m hoping to do that here on this YouTube channel. There’s so much to learn and it’s really exciting.

How do I fulfill these goals?

If you want to make an impact on people, you have to be where the people are – hence social media!

If you want people to let you connect with them so that you can share your message, and if you want them to care enough to want to connect with you, then you have to let them join you in your journey.

When you’re watching The Lord of the Rings, there’s Sam and Aragorn, and you root for them, you care about them, you want to see them win and succeed! Why? Because you’ve been on their journey with them. You’ve shared their joys, their sorrows, you have that connection because you shared their journey.

Hence the videos because this is my initial journey not only with social media, but also really taking forward steps towards these goals.

I’m thankful that you guys are joining me on this journey! God bless you guys! Thank you! Bye!

She has worked for Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media as a Graphic Designer. "There is joy in encouraging and inspiring people through art and film. My work features richly dynamic characters, and illustrations that tell compelling stories. My art is inspired by the glints of wonder found in life. The honesty of an expression, the sparkle of a chandelier, the ivy-covered doorway; things that call for a story to be imagined and illustrated. I received a Master of Art in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and a Bachelor of Science in Art Management/Minor in General Business from Appalachian State University. In my spare time from work, you’ll find me playing the piano, singing, writing, studying French, reading and drinking tea! Cheers!" - Brittany
